Our goal at Poliglot is to eliminate that overhead, so everyone can spend their capacity on the problems instead of the logistics.
The operational infrastructure our economy and society currently operates on is built on assumptions about the human attention span.
Our business, military, and social operations have historically been structured around the people shape of the organizations supporting them: silos of disconnected people and systems grouped by the functions they're accountable for. Human attention spans forced us to deconstruct global operations into bite-sized chunks that one individual, or group of individuals, could manage.
For AI-powered coordination at the scale we envision, our capabilities can be siloed, but they can't be disconnected. A global coordination layer can't manage what it can't see or interact with.
Managers coordinate effectively because they are the "connective tissue" in our operations: the enforcers of our operating models. To automate this, we need a way for a digital system to understand our operating models and become this enforcer.
Poliglot is building the engine that executes our objectives against a digitized operating model that enforces shared understanding of concepts, capabilities, and contracts for work in distributed operating environments.
This will allow us to self-organize around objectives and activities themselves, eliminate rigid operating models, and streamline the communication channels and interactions across our operations.
The disconnection in our operating models extends into the economy as a whole. The customers, suppliers, and external organizations we interact with on a daily basis are completely cut off by the borders we stand up around localized operations.
Poliglot's vision is a globally connected operating model that enables bi-directional federation of work across workplace boundaries, while maintaining tenant-level autonomy and control. Hence the name, "interprise".
We believe strongly in sovereignty and open standards. It will be essential for each party to maintain complete autonomy and control of their operating model, while being able to take advantage of cross-tenant collaboration.
We have plans to open-source much of the foundational frameworks and systems we build, starting on day one.
Historically, governance has been something begrudgingly added as an afterthought. We don't think it has to be this way, so we are committed to making governance as painless as possible, while ensuring a safe, reliable, and transparent operating environment.
As a happy accident, it turns out that in order to build this, you need a new class of observability anyway, so we all get it for free.
I recognize there is a lot of fear and uncertainty around how the world will change in the coming decades. Things will change a lot, but through this transition, I strongly believe we have an opportunity to solve bigger problems, facilitate real-world transformation, and amplify everyone's agency to execute on their ambitions.
